PROJECT
Located in the heart of Vienna, next to Stadtpark, this swimming complex stands out from its surroundings. Its sculptural roof is carefully designed to respond to its environment.
Shape to follow the path of the sun and oriented to key views, like towards the Stadtpark and the city center, creating a dynamic connection between architecture and its surroundings. At night,
the roof becomes a glowing landmark, illuminating the surrounding area and enhancing its presence within the urban landscape.
Design
The design follows the principles of the golden ratio, ensuring balanced proportions across façades, elevations, and interior layouts. This mathematical approach brings harmony to the overall composition and strengthens the spatial experience.
Inside, the complex offers a wide range of facilities. The swimming areas include an Olympic pool for professional and recreational use, a quiet relaxation pool, and a combination of indoor and outdoor pools that extend the swimming experience across seasons. The wellness section features saunas, hammams, massage rooms, and medical treatment spaces, creating an atmosphere of complete relaxation and care. A fully equipped gym with dedicated workout areas complements these wellness spaces, supporting both fitness and well-being.

The main entrance is positioned on the northeast side, welcoming visitors into a spacious lobby that serves as a central hub. A café within this space allows parents to comfortably wait while keeping a direct view of the pool area. Thoughtfully designed to engage with its environment, the Swim Complex at Stadtpark is both a functional and architectural landmark, offering a unique experience that combines sport, relaxation, and urban life.

Beyond sports and wellness, the complex integrates dining and social spaces. Two restaurants enhance the visitor experience: one serving pool guests and another located on the top floor, offering panoramic views of Stadtpark and the Vienna skyline. A cooking school adds an educational aspect to the project, encouraging interaction and engagement. The facility also includes administrative offices to ensure smooth daily operations.
